Rubicon Deli opened its first deli in Pacific/Mission Beach only a few short years ago and has gained quite the following since. Featuring a variety of house made breads, including pesto, jalapeno jack, and bleu cheese, and only the freshest ingredients, Rubicon has rapidly gained popularity due to its delicious sandwiches and salads, and laid back atmosphere.
At the grand opening of the new location on 3715 India Street in Mission Hills, from Wednesday April 25th to Friday the 26th, every 50th customer will get a golden ticket entitling him or her to one free Rubicon sandwich or salad every week for a year.
We had a chance to speak with co-owner, Oliver Lang, about the new location:
"We want the Mission Hills spot to be the premier Rubicon location. While Mission Beach is great, it was our first business and we think that we have a system in place with the Mission Hills location that will be the future of Rubicon," says Lang.
The new location is larger than the Mission Beach branch and they've already applied for a beer and wine license, so it surely will have a different feel than the original. Rubicon hopes branch #2 is the start of many more to come.
So stop by Rubicon's new location during their grand opening. Rubicon Deli is open from 10am to 10pm and also serves breakfast. I'll be the one counting people in line and hunting the golden ticket.
