San Diego Restaurant Week will hold a press conference with over 50 of San Diego Restaurant Week’s top chefs in attendance to celebrate the start of this week of delicious dining that has become a beloved tradition in the San Diego community. The press conference will be held on Thursday, September 13th, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the USS Midway Museum and will feature special guests such as Mayor Jerry Sanders and Council President Tony Young.
All media and the public are invited to attend the San Diego Restaurant Week Press Conference to experience a photo opportunity with 50 of San Diego’s most talented chefs posing alongside Mayor Jerry Sanders and Council President Tony Young who have both been instrumental leaders in the restaurant industry throughout their careers. The event is free to attend.
San Diego Food Bank’s Food 4 Kids Backpack Program which provides weekend food to chronically hungry elementary school children living in poverty. San Diego Restaurant Week will be donating a portion of the ticket sales for the first-ever kickoff event, #SDRWTaste2012, to this vital program. In addition to the chefs, the Council President’s wife, Jacquelyn Young, a longtime supporter of the Food Bank’s efforts to fight hunger in children, will also be in attendance and available for photos opportunities.
