Prowl the Point at the 2013 Taste of Point Loma | Tuesday, April 16th

It's tasting season as you can likely tell, so mark your calendars and explore new parts of beautiful San Diego!  Formerly called The Taste of Shelter Island, The Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has announced that this year, the 24th incarnation of this favorite tasting tour will be dubbed the Taste of Point Loma.  This year’s event will draw thousands of attendees anxious to sample cuisine from a range of restaurants within the space of one exciting evening.

The Taste of Point Loma will take place on April 16th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost of admission is $20 per person. Student and military discounts are available with a valid ID for $15 per person. Guests who bike instead of drive to the event will also be offered a discounted rate of $15 per person. Tickets are available at http://www.showclix.com/event/TasteofPointLoma2013 or in the parking lot of the Point Loma Brigantine Seafood restaurant on the day of the event. Shuttles will be provided to assist attendees in moving from one location to the next.

The Taste of Point Loma 2013 will showcase an eclectic array of San Diego eateries, each offering a sampling of a signature dish from their menus. Highlights from the 2013 event will include such eateries as Red Sails, Old Venice, Point Break Café, Slater's 50/50, Miguel's Cocina, The Bay Club Hotel and more. Guests will also savor panoramic views of the bay, spanning from downtown San Diego to the Point Loma Peninsula.

Proceeds from The Taste of Point Loma 2013 will benefit the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and its various community programs, including scholarships for Point Loma High School, traditional 4th of July fireworks, the Point Loma Summer Concert series and various luncheons and mixers for the community.
