The Little Italy Association’s popular Taste of Little Italy event, showcasing traditional and eclectic eateries in the neighborhood, is back again this June 19th. Held in the hip and historic downtown district, attendees get to stroll the streets while enjoying live music and tastes from over 28 favorite local hotspots. With many new restaurants to the Little Italy dining scene, this year’s annual event is anticipated to be another sell-out, so interested attendees are encouraged to purchase their tickets early.
New this year, there will be two routes to choose from (North Route and South Route), so attendees can have their choice of a mix of restaurants or go for the big cannoli and sign up for the full roster of nearly 30 restaurants. You know it will be delicious when restaurants like Bencotto Italian Kitchen, Davanti & Filippi's are on the menu!
Past savory samples offered at Taste of Little Italy events include: Fusilli with pink pancetta sauce from Bencotto; Pipian crusted brie with jalapeño jelly from Indigo Grill; Lounge Sliders from Burger Lounge; Mini Kurobuta corn dogs served with spicy cheese fondue and whole grain mustard from Craft & Commerce; Choice of red or white wine (for those 21 and over) from Enoteca Style; assorted pizza slices from Filippi’s Pizza Grotto; and so much more. Moral of the story - COME HUNGRY!!!
The Taste of Little Italy will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. at Little Italy district in downtown San Diego with India Street serving as main event corridor.
