Esquire Network's Brew Dogs Premiers September 24 | First Episode Focuses on San Diego's Craft Beer Scene

September 24, 2013

Brew Dogs - one of Esquire Network's most exciting new shows - premiers tonight at 10pm!  The series features James Watt and Martin Dickie, owners of the UK’s fastest-growing craft brewery BrewDog, as they travel across America visiting different beer towns, celebrating distinctive craft beers and creating their own locally-inspired drafts.  Appropriately, the first stop on the Brew Dogs tour will be San Diego’s very own Stone Brewing Co., further solidifying San Diego's status as the world capital of beer!

On Brew Dogs, Watt and Dickie truly focus on promoting and showcasing the craft beer industry, but even if you're not a beer geek, the comedic duo will provide enough energetic entertainment to keep viewers hooked.  That doesn't mean that the pair won't try and convince even amateur beer drinkers that craft beer is where it's at, as their ambition is to spread the word of craft beer!

The San Diego episode begins at Stone Brewing’s World Bistro & Gardens, and features local beers from Ballast Point, Alpine, Lost Abbey and Alesmith. There’s a beer and food pairing competition, a listing of San Diego’s top five beer bars, and entertaining explanations of beer history and production.

In their quest for the ultimate San Diego IPA, Martin and James decide to brew their own, using kelp that the guys harvested themselves off the San Diego coast, and the world’s hottest chili pepper, which grows in San Diego. And if that weren’t enough, they create this concoction while traveling on Amtrak’s Surfliner train round trip between San Diego and Los Angeles. Stirring and boiling beer while going 70 miles an hour on a rickety train track up and down the California coast - what could go wrong?

After the first episode of Brew Dogs, like a delicious craft beer, you'll want more.  Brew Dogs begins tonight, with new episodes airing each Tuesday at 10pm only on the Esquire Network.  For more information, visit Brew Dogs online and check out the promotional video below.
