See What’s in Season at Davanti Enoteca in Del Mar and Little Italy Seafood and Garden-Driven Fare Headline New Seasonal Menus

Davanti Enoteca’s Chef Christopher Vera-Tudela (of Little Italy) and Chef Michael Nogera (of the Del Mar Highlands) have introduced garden-inspired dishes and fresh seafood plates to the menus of Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy and the Del Mar Highlands Town Center this month. Both Davanti Enoteca locations will offer seasonal plates like Rock Shrimp Salad with spring peas and baby heirloom tomatoes and Capesante e Fave, seared Diver scallops over fava beans and pea tendrils in a guanciale vinaigrette. The Little Italy and Del Mar Highlands’ chefs will also introduce dishes exclusive to their respective location.

“We’ve stepped into spring with seasonal dishes that are a little lighter and perfect to enjoy on our sunny patios,” said Chef Christopher Vera-Tudela of Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy. “Staples like our Focaccia di Recco and Seared Octopus are here to stay, but freshly picked produce and fish and shellfish sourced straight from the ocean are the main attractions this time of year.”

A sampling of additions to Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy include Asparagus Antipasti – shaved and served with hazelnuts in a lemon and pecorino dressing; Risi e Bisi – aborio rice with spring peas, marcona almonds, green garlic and pecorino; and Pesce con Peperonata – pan seared corvina with roasted bell peppers and tomato in a Gaeta olive demi.

Seasonal Bruschetta 
A sampling of additions to Davanti Enoteca in the Del Mar Highlands include Spring Pea Ravioli - with ricotta and mint in a lamb bolognese; Grilled Head-on Prawns – served with peperonata and salsa verde; and Chino Valley Farm Egg with Lamb’s Tongue – served with frisee in an herb vinaigrette.
