The Wild Thyme Company, event planning and catering specialists, welcome Chef Keith Lord to their team in a new position for the company, Director of Operations and Culinary. Creating a formidable partnership with Owner and Executive Chef Dawn Parks, Lord brings twenty-six years of experience working with high profile names like Twentieth Century Fox Studios and Roppongi in both La Jolla and Palm Springs. He has been a leader, strategist and brand creator through growth and expansion for a broad range of concepts. In his new role with The Wild Thyme Company, Lord will fulfill their goal to elevate their offerings of event design, production and service, and increase their ability to participate in community events and fundraisers.

Lord found his way into the kitchen when he was five years old, and has stayed there in roles that range from chef and caterer to consultant and concept developer in cities like Maui and Beverly Hills ever since. Drawing from his belief that food imitates art and art imitates life, he finds inspiration through anything visually stimulating. Lord firmly believes that any new idea, whether it be completely unusual or not, is valuable, so he fosters a sense of forward thinking in the kitchens he leads. The high-octane environment he finds in the hospitality industry is what drives him to continue to explore the food world. He knows culinary secrets and hidden gems in every place he visits, and he’ll happily share the information over dinner.
