Florent Restaurant & Lounge Celebrates its Grand Opening with Special Party on July 10 | Executive Chef Richard Sweeney and Hospitality Talents: David Schiffman, Mark Huber and Scott Sanders Debut Their First Collaboration in the Gaslamp Quarter’s, Historical Old City Hall Building

Florent Restaurant & Lounge, located at 672 Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, will host its Grand Opening Party, Thursday, July 10 with a VIP reception starting at 7pm, the party will open to the public at 8pm, with live entertainment throughout the night. Florent Restaurant & Lounge, designed by Michael Soriano of Orianos Designs, has reinvented an iconic and historical Gaslamp Quarter landmark located on the corner or Fifth & G Street, the space now pays homage to its residents of the past with a touch of elegance and demur glamour. The split-level venue embodies timeless new American dining with a young hip lounge atmosphere that cultivates a vibrant nightlife environment.

The New American menu is executed by 2013 San Diego Wine & Food Classic “Chef of the Fest”, and Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” contestant Chef Richard Sweeney, whose motto is food & fun, refueled! Florent’s food menu showcases a variety of dishes; including standout items like a citrus marinated bone-in pork tomahawk chop with saffron and pea orzo, or a take on a classic, honey rosemary hushpuppies. Whimsical and well-balanced cocktails along with an extensive beer selection with hints of San Diego’s rich craft beer roots compliment Chef Sweeney’s menu. Florent Restaurant & Lounge currently offers dinner nightly with lunch and weekend brunch, starting July 13.

The new venue boasts 8,000 square feet of space, offers seating for 200 and has a capacity of approximately 600 guests. Florent is ideal for semi-private or private events with two levels and outdoor patio dining. Thursday-Sunday, Florent Restaurant & Lounge will host local San Diego DJs and bold new entertainment.
