Japanese and Mexican Styles Collide at Bird Rock Oyster and Sushi Bar - Now Open!

August 2, 2014

Bird Rock Oyster and Sushi Bar is now open for business, featuring an eclectic mix of menu items, including tostados, tacos, burritos, sushi and a wide array of seafood dishes that combine Baja and Japanese influences. The restaurant took over the former Station Sushi space, and although they're still awaiting some finalization, including the addition of a beer and wine license, they're eager to show San Diegans what they have to offer.

Owner Gabriel Uribe is no novice when it comes to combining Mexican and Japanese culinary styles, as he also owns the popular Baja Oyster & Sushi Bar in Imperial Beach. His Bird Rock location includes a 52-seat dining room and a dog-friendly patio. Expect Mexican-influenced sushi, authentic Mexican style seafood dishes and, of course, oysters - raw, grilled, fried, stuffed, and even Rockefeller. The full menu is included below.

Bird Rock Oyster and Sushi Bar is located at 5752 La Jolla Blvd. and is currently open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. For more information, visit birdrockoystersushibar.com.
