Southpaw Social Club, a Good Time Design (GTD) venue located in East Village with a back patio overlooking Petco Park, has announced several exciting changes including, a new menu, new management team, an internal chef shuffle and a nightly 2-for-1 craft beer program. These changes were brought on by feedback from customers and GTD refining the concept in preparation for future expansion.

Brent McGrath, formerly chef de cuisine at The Blind Burro, is now the chef de cuisine at Southpaw, working with Todd Nash, GTD’s corporate executive chef. Brent Noll and Dan Estep, formerly managers at Whisknladle are now GM and Manager at Southpaw

Poutine
With 36 taps, Southpaw has always had a strong craft beer focus. Expanding on this, they have launched BREWTALITY, a permanent 2-for-1 special on ALL beers from 8pm-close, 7 days a week. Wine and champagne are also 2-for-1 during this time. Social Hour has also been extended (M-F, 4-8pm) and includes $3 off select social plates, $5 calls, $2 off drafts, ½ off bottles of wine. Southpaw is also forging even stronger partnerships with breweries and the SD Brewers Guild and planning more events and beer dinners in the near future.

Chef Todd and Chef Brent have eliminated the focus on flatbreads and are returning to the original concept of comfort classics, with brand new menu items. New menu items include poutine, bacon wrapped meatballs, fried chicken confit and waffles and a fried green tomato BLT on a homemade biscuit.
