Ironside Fish & Oyster To Host Visiting Chefs For Chef's Catch Dinner Series

Michelin-starred Executive Chef Jason McLeod is introducing a new dinner series at his seafood & oyster bar concept, Ironside Fish & Oyster in Little Italy. Beginning in June, a jaw-dropping roster of several of the country's most exciting and acclaimed chefs will make their way into San Diego specifically for McLeod’s Chef's Catch dinner series. Speaking to Ironside’s dedication to sustainable practices, the chefs will venture out off the coast of San Diego and Baja for a fishing trip with McLeod, where they’ll plan to return with local catch for a collaborative, family-style dinner menu incorporating the freshest finds straight off the boat.

Chefs participating in Ironside's Chef's Catch dinners include Andrew Gregory of The Woodsman Tavern in Portland, OR (June 2);  Chris Pandel of The Bristol/Balena in Chicago, IL (June 30); Bill Kim of Urbanbelly, BellyQ and Belly Shack in Chicago, IL (September 22); Mike Lata of The Ordinary in Charleston, SC (October 26); and Renee Erickson of The Whale Wins, Boat Street Café, The Walrus and the Carpenter and Barnacle in Seattle, WA (November TBD). Additional chefs will be released in the future for the continuation of the series in 2016.

While details for each Chef’s Catch menu may vary, the first multi-course, family-style dinner with Chef Andrew Gregory on June 2 is priced at $65 per person and will include beer pairings by San Diego’s Modern Times brewery.
