3rd Annual North PB Sip N Stroll Features Over 50 Local Businesses For A Day Of Family Fun On Sunday, July 26

July 16, 2015

The North PB Sip N Stroll is back for it's 3rd annual installment on Sunday, July 26, from 11am to 5pm, and richer than ever with over 50 local Pacific Beach area businesses participating. This hyper-local, free, family-friendly street fair is located in the bustling locale of North PB and aims to uncover and promote the small businesses of this San Diego community, celebrating the residents and businesses that call this area home.

This year, the Sip N Stroll is raising money and awareness for the establishment of bike friendly business district being promoted by Discover Pacific Beach. With bike traffic increasing in the beach communities, there is a need for more bike racks in North PB and a portion of these monies will go towards that.

To start off the event BeautifulPB is organizing the first Ride 'N Stroll to promote the new Complete Streets - PB Pathways - a bike/walk friendly Pacific Beach supports both the beach and commercial district with community incentives that encourage people to bike and walk to shop, dine and enjoy our community. Bikers, skaters, unicylcers, runners, walkers (anything without an engine) are meeting at the first PB mural on Haines & Diamond Street next to PB Middle School at 11am. The first 50 riders will receive a free bandanna and North PB hat. From there, they will take two routes along the PB pathways and end at the bike valet at the North PB Sip N Stroll at 11:30am, located in front of Gallery at Land's End & Java Earth Cafe. Participants can place their bike in the free bike corral sponsored by BeautifulPB, San Diego Bike Coalition & Discover PB. In addition, DecoBikes will be renting their bikes for people to try out.

New to the North PB Sip N Stroll this year is the PB Historic Pictorial Walk located at the Advent Real Estate booth. Thanks to the Pacific Beach Historic Society, there will be over 100 old large photos from Pacific Beach's past on display.

At the Pacific Beach Town Council's Community & Kid's Corner located in the Tula Ru parking lot, there will many local non-profit groups such as Save Our Neighborhoods, Mission Bay Gateway Project & Family Health Centers to name a few. Old or reclaimed wood has been collected in the neighborhood and cut into small fish and PB Town Council will be painting them with the neighborhood kids so they can take them home.

Back again is the Music Generations stage full of local singer-song writer & the very popular kid's rock bands including Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Frostie, Milo & The Millionaire Beach Bums, to name a few. The Westcoaster SD Wine & Beer Garden will be pouring the finest brews from Amplified Ale Works & Twisted Manzanita. Turquoise Cellars has hand picked their fine wines & champagnes as well. Tasters will be 4 for $10. And with over 50 local businesses participating, the general festival area will be jam packed with local retail, restaurants, health and wellness, business and residential services.
