Baja Chefs To Battle It Out At Chef's Plate Dinner Series On July 25 At Deckman's En El Mogor

Chef’s Plate, the traveling cooking competition series from the culinary social network, Chef's Roll, is heading south of the border to the Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California, Mexico. Often called the “Napa of Mexico”, those in the know have been privy to its unique character and a beauty that gives it a flavor of its own. On Saturday July 25, from 5-9pm, three of Baja’s top chefs will be cooking whole lambs fresh from the farms of El Mogor served family style to 140 guests. In addition, each chef will be mentoring one chef to participate in the live culinary competition where they will prepare 3 dishes for an esteemed panel of judges. The event will take place at Deckman’s En El Mogor.

Five of the valley’s top wineries (Lomita, Monte Xanic, Viñas de Garza, Lechuza Vineyards and Aborigen) will be providing wine and Agua Mala, one of Baja’s best craft brewers, will be serving a selection of beer. Special treats highlighting the bounty of Baja will also be served al fresco under the summer sky.
