Chef Amy DiBiase To Leave Paradise Point's Tidal For New Position With Grand Restaurant Group

September 15, 2016

Amy DiBiase is leaving her position as Executive Chef and General Manager of Paradise Point Resort & Spa's onsite restaurant Tidal to take a position with the Grand Restaurant Group, which operates Bellamy's in Escondido, the newly opened Ponsaty's in Rancho Sante Fe, and The Ranch at Bandy Canyon.

Chef Amy DiBiase rejoined Paradise Point Resort & Spa as Executive Chef in Spring 2014 to help launch the Mission Bay hotel's rebranded signature dining concept, returning to where she had previously worked as Chef de Cuisine at Tidal's predecessor restaurant, Baleen, from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that Chef DiBiase was Chef de Cuisine at The Shores Restaurant in La Jolla.

Chef DiBiase will join her husband, VP of Operations for Grand Restaurant Group Derry Van Nortwick, when she starts working at the company later this month. DiBiase said that she will "help with current and future projects." There is no word yet on who will replace her at Tidal.
