Searsucker Del Mar New Executive Chef Cesar Oceguera Releases Refreshed Dinner Menu

October 24, 2016

Searsucker Del Mar's newly appointed Executive Chef, San Diego native Cesar Oceguera, has been hard at work and will launch a refreshed menu for the North County hotspot on October 25. Check it out!

Born and raised in San Diego, Chef Oceguera grew up immersed in his father’s local catering business before going on to pursue cooking professionally. Since graduating from The French Culinary Institute in New York, Cesar Oceguera has held positions at a number of renowned restaurants across the country, including Gastroarte in New York City, Rao’s and Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill in Las Vegas, and, most recently, Searsucker’s popular Vegas outpost. Oceguera is returning to a familiar location, as he worked as a sous chef at Burlap in 2012-2013 before it was rebranded into Searsucker Del Mar.

Pork Schnitzel
Staying true to the restaurant’s New American roots, Chef Oceguera will introduce fresh takes on classic Searsucker dishes, as well as new options. The new dinner menu, copied below, will feature shared plates to snack on with friends or family, greens to graze on, favorites from the grill, and signature entrées from the chef - including new items like Mary’s organic chicken breast, fish & chips, and pork schnitzel. Curated jars and sides will round out the menu and a new, three-course prime rib roast dinner will be available every Saturday night for $40.

Searsucker Del Mar is located with the Del Mar Highlands Town Center at 12995 El Camino Real. For more information, call 858.369.5700, visit searsucker.com/del-mar, and check out the new menu below.
