The owner of Blue Ribbon Artisan Pizza and The Craftsman Tavern in Encinitas will soon open Open House Asian Kitchen, an Asian fusion bar & eatery set to debut this summer at Moonlight Plaza at the corner of Encinitas Boulevard & South Coast Highway 101 in San Diego's North County.
Owned by the Hageman Restaurant Group, which is made up of Encinitas entrepreneurs Wade Hageman and his wife Kristi, Open House will offer a menu with an eclectic array of dishes that are inspired by a variety of Asian countries, including Chinese, Japanes & Thai. The eatery will also offer craft beer, cocktails, wines, and sake.
"This restaurant concept is new to our area and Kristi and I are really excited to bring this style of cuisine to Encinitas," said Wade Hageman. "As long-time residents of this great coastal city we take pride in our restaurants and are motivated by our long-term patrons who enjoy quality farm-to-fork food and new combinations of flavors. Our goal with Open House Asian Kitchen is simple: create a restaurant at the wonderful Moonlight Plaza that feels open and welcoming – as if you received an invitation to relax and enjoy delicious food with family and friends at your neighbor’s place near the beach.”
Open House Asian Kitchen at Moonlight Plaza is within walking distance to renowned Moonlight Beach and will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week. Patrons will enjoy an open courtyard, inviting bar area, and plenty of parking. The eatery is anticipated to open by June 2017.

The Hageman Restaurant Group launched Blue Ribbon Artisan Pizzeria in the Lumber Yard in 2010. The Craftsman Tavern was then opened in 2012 to serve farm-to-fork cuisine in a family-friendly pub style on El Camino.
