Nozaru Ramen Bar Eyes Kearny Mesa For Second Location

May 19, 2017

Nozaru Ramen Bar only premiered within the former Burnside space on Adams Avenue in Normal Heights last month, but the Japanese eatery from the owner of Sushiya Liberty Station & Ototo Sushi Co. is already planning for its second location, set to debut in the retail plaza at 7710 Balboa Avenue in San Diego's Kearny Mesa neighborhood later this year.

Owned by Tokyo native sushi chef Hiroshi Toukairin, who also owns Sushiya in Liberty Station and Ototo Sushi Co. in Clairemont and Del Sur Town Center,  Nozaru is a casual ramen eatery that, in addition to 5 varieties of ramen including chicken and veggie options, serves a short list of sushi rolls, Japanese side dishes and mochi ice cream, as well as beer, sake and wine. Toukarin also intends to rebrand his Sushiya concept in Liberty Station into a third Ototo in the near future and will continue expanding both his Nozaru and Ototo concepts around San Diego in the future.
