Top Chefs & Breweries Unite For 3rd Annual San Diego Brew & Food Festival On August 26 | Save On Passes & Enter To Win VIP Tickets

July 9, 2017

The Brew & Food Festival is coming back to America's Finest City for a third round of craft beer and culinary collisions, taking place on Saturday, August 26, from 3-6:30pm (2pm for Early Entry/VIP) at the beautiful Embarcadero Marina Park North in downtown San Diego. This year's event will feature more than 200 seasonal and specialty craft beers from 70 breweries, dozens of beer-inspired and infused dishes from 20 accomplished chefs (including Baja star chef Drew Deckman), two stages for live music and chef demonstrations, and activities like a silent disco dome. We are raffling off 2 VIP tickets to attend and also offering promo code SDVILLE for $5 savings on any ticket type (limited to first 100 tickets purchased so act fast!).

The San Diego Brew & Food Festival is organized by Motley Brews, a team of event professionals and craft beer enthusiasts behind some of Las Vegas's biggest events, including the Great Vegas Festival of Beer, The Las Vegas Downtown Brew Festival and the culinary portion of the Life Is Beautiful Festival. Motley Brews events have raised over $75,000 for charities since their founding in 2011.

"Our goal in year three of Brew & Food Festival is to focus more attention on unique collisions between craft beer and culinary worlds," explains Brian Chapin, founder of Motley Brews and mastermind behind Brew & Food Festival. "We are thrilled to be working with legendary area chef Drew Deckman for this year's installment. We’re also amping up the entertainment with multiple stages showcasing live music performances, chef demonstrations, pop up culinary surprises and the silent disco dome.”

The list of participating breweries, restaurants and chefs are still in the works, but we know based on year's past that Brew & Food is not messing around. Last year, the list of breweries serving samples was endless, and Chefs Javier Plascencia, Hanis Cavin & Chad White were all on hand to show how it's done with cooking demos and samples. This year, Michelin-starred Baja chef Drew Deckman will be creating beer inspired dishes for the Mad Craft VIP area, serving complimentary small plates fresh from the Mad Craft kitchen for all VIP ticketholders and also doing a cooking demo for the entire festival. Leading San Diego eateries will also bring gourmet gastronomy to the masses. Festival goers can expect culinary specialties such as exotic game meats, charcuterie, chicken and waffle bites, and duck and bacon sausages. They'll also be surprised with gourmet tastings from local boutiques such as chocolate samplings, cheeses and more.

Brew & Food Festival also brings an extensive lineup to two music stages. In addition to the live stage acts, the Silent Disco Dome will feature dueling DJs on separate channels, so dancers can choose between grooves in real time. Musical artists will also jump between channels to layer in some electric saxophone and other unique instrumentals.

Tickets for the Brew & Food Festival are available online for $35 for General Admission, $45 for Early Entry (2pm entry), and $80 for Mad Craft VIP. Promo code SDVILLE saves $5 per ticket on any ticket type, but the code is limited to only the first 100 tickets purchased. The Mad Craft VIP ticket gives holders early entry to the event and access to a special section of the festival featuring limited-release brews, innovative beer pairings, and complimentary craft beer-inspired dishes prepared by talented chefs. All other tickets included unlimited beer samples and access to the festival, with food available for purchase. A portion of festival proceeds benefit a local charity.
