11th Swami's Cafe To Open At Former Busalacchi's A Modo Mio Space In Hillcrest

September 26, 2017

The popular San Diego-born healthy breakfast & lunch destination Swami's Cafe will open its 11th area location within the 4,500-square-foot space that last housed Busalacchi's A Modo Mio in Hillcrest.

Owner Jaime Osuna opened his first Swami's location on Highway 101 in Encinitas in 2005, offering a breakfast and lunch menu centered around healthier options and dishes made with fresh local ingredients. Osuna has since opened eight additional Swami's outposts in San Diego County - in North Park, Point Loma's Midway District, Carlsbad, La Mesa, Poway, Encinitas Inland, Oceanside, and Escondido - plus Honey's Bistro & Bakery in Encinitas. A 10th Swami's is currently being installed at 20 Main Street in downtown Vista Village.

Like other locations, expect a menu centered around all-day-breakfast and lunch dishes, with items ranging from acai bowls and smoothies to bacon burgers and vegetarian & vegan offerings. The new Hillcrest location will also feature dinner dishes like stuffed chicken breast, fish & chips, seafood cioppino, and an array of pasta and entrees. The Hillcrest outpost will also offer a full bar with craft beer, a curated selection of wines and unique cocktails.

Swami's Cafe is anticipated to debut at 3707 5th Avenue in San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood by late 2017/early 2018. For more information, visit swamiscafe.com.
