Heading into the retail storefront at 978 North Coast Highway 101 that last housed the Fern clothing and accessory shop is a tasting room from MillerCoors-backed Saint Archer Brewing Co.
Miramar-based Saint Archer Brewing Co. launched in April 2013 and immediately gained popularity on social media due to its star-studded lineup of owners and brewery 'ambassadors', including professional surfers Josh Kerr and Taylor Knox, skateboarders Mike Taylor, Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez, industry filmmakers and photographers Josh Landan, Atiba Jefferson and Jeff Johnson and many others. The company was purchased by brewing behemoth MillerCoors in 2015 for nearly $80million.
After a battle with the city of Encinitas and neighboring businesses, Saint Archer was cleared to open a tasting room in the beachside North San Diego County community of Leucadia in the space between Surfy Surfy Surf Shop and the Regal Seagull. The tasting room will offer Saint Archer's regular and seasonal beers and will allow food to be brought in from neighboring eateries for onsite consumption. Expect the tasting room to open and pouring by Spring 2018.
