BAJA

Adventure is worthwhile.” ~Aesop

San Diego's neighbor to the south, Baja California, Mexico, is undergoing a cultural and culinary revival. In addition to driving nearly the entire east and west coast of mainland Mexico, since living in San Diego, we've traveled the north-western and eastern areas of Baja - from Tijuana, down through Rosarito, to Ensenada and eastward to Mexico's premier wine country, Valle De Guadalupe, as well as through Tecate, Mexicali and down to San Felipe. We strongly encourage you to get out and explore. We can't speak a lick of Spanish either, so if we can do it, so can you!

Below, you'll find our suggestions for some of the best places to eat, drink, sleep and socialize in Baja Norte. Half the fun is exploring, so ask around, check out TripAdvisor, and make your own Mexico memories. If you're looking for a guided experience, reach out to such touring companies as Boca Roja | Baja Wine Adventures, Let's Go ClandestinoClub Tengo Hambre, Baja Wine and Food, and others.  As always, let us know if you have any suggested additions, questions or comments by emailing us at baja@sandiegoville.com. We're always happy to help!
