San Diego's Fall Brewing Company To Open South Park Tasting Room

June 5, 2019

Fall Brewing Company, which launched its San Diego craft brewery in North Park in late 2014, will open a new tasting room in South Park later this year, taking over the space previously occupied by South Park Dry Goods.

Co-owner and once-upon-a-time head-brewer Ramon Astamendi opened Fall Brewing in a former auto repair shop in a quiet stretch of North Park in November 2014. The company quickly gained a loyal following due to its creative artwork, community-focused tasting rooms, and a solid core craft beer lineup, which includes favorites like Plenty for All Pilsner, Green Hat IPA, and 2AM Bike Ride (a coffee and vanilla bean stout made with Dark Horse coffee). Graphic designer to the stars, David Lively, and Premier Stainless Systems founder Robert Soltys eventually took an ownership interest in Fall Brewing and are now managing the company, allegedly ousting founding brewer and co-owner Astamendi from having any control over operations.

Fall Brewing will soon begin installing a tasting room at 3010 Juniper Street, Suite A, in San Diego's South Park, hoping to have it up and running in time for the company's 5th anniversary this fall. The space will offer the brewery's beers for onsite conspumption and take-away, as well as sell branded merchandise. In the meantime, visit the original brewhouse at 4542 30th Street in North Park.
