Global Fried Chicken Chain Wingstop To Open In San Diego's Pacific Beach

Texas-based fried chicken chain Wingstop is in the process of opening a location in the heart of San Diego's Pacific Beach neighborhood. 

Wingstop was founded in Garland, Texas in 1994 and the company is now publicly traded with more than 1,200 locations around the globe. Wingstop offers a menu centered around fried chicken wings and tenders, offered with a variety of flavors and sides like smothered fries, corn, and veggie sticks.

The Pacific Beach outpost of Wingstop will be the 12th and most northerly San Diego location. The eatery is in the process of installing in part of the space last occupied by Firestone Auto on Garnet Avenue. In addition to its full menu of fried chicken available in 11 flavors, the eatery will serve a variety of beer and wine. The location will be owned and managed by franchisee Zion Restaurant Group LLC.

Wingstop is anticipated to open by this summer at 1245 Garnet Avenue in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit wingstop.com.
