January 24, 2022

A Korean restaurant chain with more than 200 location, Yuk Dae Jang will soon bring its namesake spicy stew to San Diego.

Founded in Seoul, Korea, in 2016, Yuk Dae Jang is now one of Korea's fastest growing restaurant brands with more than 200 locations in Asia and several in Southern California. The first San Diego location will open later this year within Independence Square plaza in the Clairemont Mesa neighborhood.

YukDaeJang is named after the main dish served at the restaurant - a spicy, rich Korean stew made with beef, mushrooms, bean sprouts, scallions, and hand-cut cellophane noodles in a red bone broth. Yuk Dae Jang is also known for its bossam dish, which features boiled spicy pork belly thinly sliced and served with toppings like radish salad, sliced raw garlic, ssamjang Korean spicy sauce, and kimchi. The restaurant also serves Korean mandu steamed dumplings, which are filled with pork and kimchi.

YukDaeJang is anticipated to open by this summer at 7307 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego. For more information, visit yukdaejangusa.com and check out the menu below.
