With eight locations already dotted around Southern California, Finney's Crafthouse is an American tavern concept opening its first branch in San Diego.
Founded in Westlake Village, CA, in 2016 by Greg Finefrock (pronounced FinneyFrock), Finney's Crafthouse is a family-owned, modern American gastropub with locations in Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Porter Ranch, Burbank, Orange and Camirillo. Finefrock has over 25 years of industry experience, previously working in franchise development for Baja Fresh and The Counter Burger Restaurant. With a mission to expand his memorable tavern food concept, Finefrock recently took over the two-story building that last housed Davina's Cabo Grill in downtown Oceanside for his first San Diego outpost of Finney's Crafthouse.
The Oceanside location of Finney's Crafthouse will open in early 2024, offering a rooftop bar with views of the ocean, a ground floor dining area and beer garden, and a basement lounge. Expect a lengthy menu of elevated, scratch-made tavern fare, including appetizers, salads, pizzas, wings, tacos, sandwiches and burgers. There will also be a full bar with cocktails, wine, and a strong devotion to California craft beer and hard seltzer, kombucha and cider.
"Oceanside is a cool and unique beach town that we felt would welcome a Finney's into their neighborhood," explained Finney's Crafthouse co-owner and director of development Brad Finefrock. "As we were looking for a location, I got to know some amazing local business owners like Tom from The Brick Hotel and Christine from Petite Madeline and quickly realized how special the community was. We are appreciative of how supportive the city is to bring in new concepts and our team is anxious to be a part of Oceanside's downtown in the coming years ahead."
