Award-Winning Actors Emma Stone And Jonah Hill Attend San Diego Padres Game At Petco Park During Sweep of Mets

San Diego Padres fans at Petco Park were treated to a surprise mid-summer celebrity sighting on Wednesday, as Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone and actor-filmmaker Jonah Hill appeared together on the Jumbotron during the team's 5–0 shutout victory over the New York Mets.

Emma Stone was seen sporting a retro 1999 Tony Gwynn jersey in tribute to the Padres legend, while Hill kept it casual and comedic in a current Padres home jersey with his own name scrawled on the back in what appeared to be black marker, topped off with a Padres cap. The dynamic duo shared a friendly embrace that drew cheers from the crowd, marking a playful and memorable moment during what became the Padres' first sweep of the Mets at home since 2008. Their lighthearted energy and team spirit added a burst of charm to the game, which capped off a dominant three-game performance by the Friars.

The two actors are known to be close friends, having built a nearly two decade-long bond that began with their breakout roles in the 2007 hit comedy Superbad. Since then, Stone and Hill have remained publicly supportive of each other and reunited professionally as co-leads in the 2018 Netflix limited series Maniac. Their friendship has often been praised for its sincerity and mutual admiration, frequently surfacing in interviews and joint appearances.

Both are decorated performers in their own right. Stone is a two-time Academy Award winner for La La Land and Poor Things, and has also received a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award. Hill is a two-time Oscar nominee (Moneyball, The Wolf of Wall Street), a Golden Globe nominee, and an accomplished director and screenwriter, having made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Mid90s in 2018.

They weren't the only famous faces in the ballpark. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was also spotted in attendance, enjoying the evening as the Padres rolled to victory behind stellar pitching and timely offense.

With a packed stadium, a star-studded audience, and a historic sweep to celebrate, Wednesday afternoon was a home run for the Padres - and an unexpected treat for fans lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Hollywood cheering from the stands.
