Top Sports Card & Collectibles Show Takes Over Downtown San Diego Halloween Weekend

Sports cards, Pokémon, trading card games and collectibles will take over one of downtown San Diego's largest hotels this Halloween weekend when the San Diego Card Show arrives at the Manchester Grand Hyatt for a two-day event on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1.

Presented by California-based Tenth Inning Productions, the event is designed as much for families and casual fans discovering the hobby as it is for serious collectors looking to buy, sell and trade rare cards and memorabilia. The show will bring sports cards, Pokémon, TCG and other collectibles together under one roof at the waterfront Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego at 1 Market Place.

The show arrives during a period when the collecting world has expanded well beyond traditional baseball cards. Pokémon and other trading card games now share convention floors with modern and vintage sports cards, sealed products, autographed memorabilia and other collectibles, giving shows like this a much broader audience than the card conventions of decades past.

Tenth Inning Productions already operates the East Bay Card Show and LA Card Expo, as well as the TCG Now platform, and is now bringing its large-format show experience to San Diego. The company's East Bay Card Show has received national recognition through a nomination in USA TODAY's Readers' Choice Awards for Best Sports Collectors' Event.

The San Diego event will span two days and fall directly on Halloween weekend, making it an alternative or addition to the city's traditional Halloween plans. The organizer is billing the weekend as an opportunity for collectors to buy, sell, trade and discover cards and collectibles while introducing newcomers and families to the hobby.

The floor isn't limited to sports cards. Tenth Inning's official event listing confirms sports cards, Pokémon, trading card games, collectibles and more, while its vendor program encompasses modern and vintage sports cards, sealed wax, autographed memorabilia, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and card supplies. The event takes place at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, putting the show directly along the downtown waterfront near Seaport Village.

Collectors will also have an opportunity to bring some of their own items to the event. Certified Guaranty Company, better known to collectors as CGC, lists the San Diego Card Show on its official event calendar and says FGS Autographs will be accepting submissions for cards, comics, video games and home-video collectibles, while JSA will offer autograph authentication at the show.

That can make the weekend particularly appealing to collectors who already have valuable or potentially valuable pieces sitting at home, as professional grading and authentication have become significant components of the modern collectibles market.

Saturday VIP admission is $25 and includes early entry beginning at 9:30am. General admission begins at 11am Saturday and 10am Sunday, with advance tickets priced at $15 and regular admission at $20. Children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. SanDiegoVille readers can use promo code SDVILLE when purchasing tickets online for special savings. Advance pricing is scheduled to end at 11:59pm on October 30, so collectors planning to attend can save by purchasing ahead of the Halloween weekend event.
For Tenth Inning Productions, San Diego becomes the latest stop in a growing California circuit that also includes recurring East Bay and Los Angeles events. The organizer describes its shows as live collecting experiences bringing together the culture and commerce surrounding cards and other collectibles.

Whether the mission is tracking down a favorite Padres card, hunting for Pokémon, getting an autograph authenticated, adding to an established collection or simply seeing what the modern collecting craze looks like, the San Diego Card Show will offer two full days to browse and trade in the heart of downtown.

The San Diego Card Show takes place October 31-November 1, 2026, at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, located at 1 Market Place in downtown. General admission starts at $15 when purchased early, Saturday VIP admission is $25 and children under 12 get in free with a ticketed adult.
