Whiskey of the World Dinner July 11th at Poway Brigantine

Here in San Diego it seems all to common to have the typical beer or wine pairing dinners, but come July 11th, the Brigantine in Poway is shaking it up a bit with their Whiskey of the World Dinner.  And boy do we love whiskey!!!

This private dinner has only 40 seats available and you won’t want to miss out on this extraordinary pairing created by Executive Corporate Chef of the Brigantine Restaurant Group, Steve Floyd and Master of Whiskey, Ed Adams.

Starting at 6:00pm, guest can enjoy a cocktail and passed appetizers before Ed Adams gives the whiskey presentation at 6:30pm. Then it’s on to the 3 course dinner!!!!  The menu is as follows:

1st Course
Littleneck Clams
Ginger-Whiskey Broth, Crispy Shallots, Grilled Baguette
House-Made Lime Ginger Ale
Paired with Crown Royal Black

2nd Course
Smoked and Grilled Berkshire Pork Rib Chop
Black Cardamom, Star of Anise Bacon “Brittle”, Vanilla & Maple Scented Demi-Glace
Paired with Bushmills 10 Year Irish Whiskey

3rd Course
Scorched Smore’s Brownie
Our layered Smores Brownie with Salted Scotch Caramel w/ Tahitian vanilla Ice cream
Paired with Johnny Walker Green
