San Diego County Fair's First Gourmet Food Truck Festival Set For TODAY - Monday, July 2

July 2, 2012

Get ready for some mobile culinary delights as the 2012 San Diego County Fair presented by Albertsons/Sav-On will offer fairgoers the chance to partake in the Fair's first Gourmet Food Truck Festival today, Monday, July 2, in the Infield, from noon to 4 p.m., or whenever the food runs out. More than 30 trucks from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego County will serve up what they do best.

The Gourmet Food Truck Festival, presented by Discover SD, will run the gamut of ethnic and fusion cuisine. Food items generally will cost in the range of $5 to $10. The food truck phenomenon has gained national attention and is now featured on networks such as Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel.

Cash is the preferred method of payment at the Fair’s Gourmet Food Truck Festival, as some trucks may not be able to accept debit/credit cards. ATMs are available in the Infield.  An area featuring craft beers will be featured for participants of the event..
