Chef Joe Busalacchi Calls the Shots During ‘A Modo Mio’ Week at A Modo Mio restaurant in Hillcrest

Celebrated San Diego restaurateur and chef Joe Busalacchi will set aside his regular menu to do things “a modo mio” or “my way” for dinner service from December 7th to 13th at Busalacchi’s newest restaurant, A Modo Mio in Hillcrest. Guests will choose chicken, red meat, fish or vegetarian fare for the main course and Joe will take care of the rest using fresh, seasonal, uncomplicated ingredients that are a hallmark of true Sicilian cooking – a surprise meal for the adventurous diner.

Guests will receive a chef-prepared four-course meal for $35 per person or a three-course meal for $30 per person.

“I wanted a chance to showcase true Sicilian cuisine, the way I’ve been cooking for family and friends my whole life,” said Chef Joe Busalacchi. “Guests can expect fresh, simple dishes, but the idea is to take diners on an adventure and keep them guessing.”

A Modo Mio is the newest restaurant from the Busalacchi family and one of just two located outside of Little Italy. With a fantastic patio, delicious specialty cocktails and welcoming atmosphere, A Modo Mio is a gem in the heart of Hillcrest, just a half block away from the site where the original Busalacchi’s opened more than 25 years ago.  The other restaurants in the Busalacchi group are Cafe Zucchero, Trattoria Fantastica, Zia's Bistro, Po Pazzo, Little Italy Spaghetteria, North End, and Via Lago Trattoria (located in Chula Vista).
