Live Music Paired With 5 Courses Of Delicious Dishes | SoundBite Pops Up At The Cork And Craft On November 2

October 17, 2015

On Monday, November 2, from 6:30-9pm, SoundBite dinner #13 is scheduled to take over The Cork and Craft in Rancho Bernardo. Combining his love for food and music, Chef Nick Brune created a this traveling dinner series, aptly named SoundBite, that pops up at notable San Diego restaurants and venuesbringing together local bands/singers/songwriters and San Diego’s best chefs to co-create an out-of-this world supper paired around live music, lyrics and food.

Participating chefs for the November 2 SoundBite will include founding chef, Nick Brune of Eco Caters and Local Habit; Chef Phil Esteban, Tony Guan and pastry chef Michael McKee of The Cork and Craft and Chef Alex Emory, from Hilton Bayfront Hotel. Music will be provided by Parker & the Numberman, a hip-hop trio from San Diego, quietly rebirthing the “cool”, while juggling clever rhymes and fun storytelling with visions of high art and experimental soundscapes.

SoundBite events showcase collaborations between leading local chefs and musicians, creatively tying together local bands' songs with creative cuisine inspired by the music. In the days prior to each event, participating chefs create their courses while listening to select tracks, later serving the musically-inspired menu to SoundBite guests while the corresponding musician plays live, performing the same tracks used to inspire each chef.

Tickets for the five course dinner can be purchased online at Brown Paper Tickets for $65 or $80 with course pairings from Abnormal Brewing Co. The Cork and Craft is located at 16990 Via Tazon in Rancho Bernardo.
