On Saturday, September 10, from noon to 8pm, The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank will host the sixth annual AimLoan.com San Diego Blues Festival at Embarcadero Marina Park North along the downtown San Diego waterfront. This family-friendly event will feature nine musical acts on two stages, including a performance by Grammy Award winning Los Lobos, as well as a local craft beer garden, food vendors, specialty cocktails and wine, along with arts and crafts vendors. In addition to a live performance by Los Lobos, this year's San Diego Blues Festival will feature sets by Bobby Rush, Nikki Hill, Watermelon Slim, the Bey Paule Band with Wee Willie Walker, Chris Cain, Billy Watson & Junior Watson, The Holla Pointe and Big Jon Atkinson.

Tickets to the San Diego Blues Festival are $25 for General Admission, $150 for VIP and $250 for Super VIP. General admission tickets: $25; VIP $150; and Super VIP $250. VIP tickets include early entry, a preferred viewing area, catered lunch and snacks, private bar service, VIP restrooms, 2 adult beverages and unlimed soft drinks. Super VIP includes everything that VIP does, plus a private concert by Watermelon Slim at the House of Blues on Friday evening, Sept. 9, as well as complimentary drinks, appetizers, and a festival t-shirt. Chhildren 12 and under are free, and all proceeds and food drive donations will benefit the San Diego Food Bank. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate. The Food Bank also requests that all attendees to bring two cans of food to donate for the Blues Fest Food Drive.

Established in 1977, the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank is a critical component to the welfare of San Diego County, providing food to people in need, advocating for the hungry and educating the public about hunger-related issues. Through a combination of government programs and partnerships with more than 400 San Diego County nonprofit charities, the Food Bank acts as a central repository and distribution point for government and donated food. The Food Bank distributed 22 million pounds of food in 2014-2015 to individuals, families and a network of nonprofit organizations that work to alleviate hunger throughout the county.
