CH Projects Is Going Back To College | 3rd Soda & Swine Location Heading To University Of California San Diego Campus

June 5, 2017

The 3rd location of CH Projects popular meatball-centric concept Soda & Swine is heading to the University of California San Diego campus, taking over the building formerly occupied by Porter's Pub that has been empty since June 2015.

CH Projects - the burgeoning hospitality group behind many San Diego eateries including Craft & Commerce, Ironside Fish & Oyster, Neighborhood, and Little Italy's highly anticipated Born & Raised - was approved by the University Centers Advisory Board last month to take over the lease at the space next to the Student Center that was occupied by Porter's Pub from 1993 to 2015. The restaurant group's founder Arsalun Tafazoli is actually a UCSD alumni. CH Projects is also in the process of installing another cocktail bar concept in the nearby La Jolla area - Raised By Wolves - as part of the massive Westfield UTC overhaul.

Like the other locations, Soda & Swine UCSD will present a menu of meatball sandwiches and comfort foods that have been developed by the hospitality group's Executive Chef Jason McLeod. The restaurant will also offer new options to accommodate students with dietary restrictions like vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. Beer & wine will also be served, and the space will eventually be used to host concerts. The original location of the Soda & Swine concept opened in University Heights/North Park in February 2013, and a second outpost debuted in Liberty Station in July 2015.

Soda & Swine is anticipated to be completed and open by the end of the 2018 UCSD school year. For more information on CH Projects and their concepts, visit consortiumholdings.com/projects.
