Craft Burrito Company Moves Into Former Tasting Room Del Mar Space

November 1, 2017

From the owners or Miramar's California Burrito Company comes Craft Burrito Company, a new Mexican restaurant and craft beer bar that has moved into the space left dormant by the short-lived Tasting Room Del Mar in San Diego's North County.

Craft Burrito Company is a family operation owned by Raymond & Esperanza Gomez, who also operate California Burrito Company in Miramar and two locations of Ramones Mexican BBQ at Camp Pendleton and the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar. Opened last Monday, October 23, Craft Burrito Company is located in the indoor/outdoor space that last housed Tasting Room Del Mar, which closed this past summer.

"We are so excited and proud to be a part of the Del Mar community!" said Craft Burrito Company Manager Matt Gomez. "It is an honor to serve our massive lineup of burritos in such a beautiful location."

Craft Burrito Co. will offer a menu of 15 signature burritos that can be modified and made into a salad, plate or chimichanga, as well as Mexican-inspired sides, tacos, chips, fries, six varieties of wine, kombucha on tap, and 22 beers on draft. The restaurant also has an onsite beer market where it will sell craft beer bottles and growlers for takeout.

Not many structural changes have taken place at the 2,400-square-foot indoor/outdoor space on the main thoroughfare of Del Mar. In addition to the restaurant's intimate interior space, Craft Burrito Company also boasts a spacious outdoor seating highlighting the energy of the seaside community. The patio is set off with a 6-seat bar housed in a once fully functioning botanical post that was once a staple of the neighborhood for years.

Craft Burrito Company is now open at 1435 Camino Del Mar, Suite D, in Del Mar from 7am-8pm Monday through Friday, 9am-9pm on Saturday, and 9am-7pm on Sunday. For more information, call 858.261.0659, visit eatcraftbc.com, and check out the menu below.
