Louisiana-Based Fast Food Fried Chicken Chain To Enter San Diego | Raising Cain's Chicken Fingers Is Coming To Santee

August 19, 2017

Popular Louisiana-based, Southern fried chicken chain Raising Cane's will open it's first San Diego location in the Santee area in early 2018, bringing its revered chicken fingers and soulful menu to America's Finest City.

Currently with eight locations in California and more than 350 around the world (with multiple new restaurants under construction), Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a fast-food chain that was founded by CEO Todd Graves (named for his yellow Labrador) in Baton Rouge, LA in 1996.

The San Diego outpost will sit within a 3,360 square-foot building at 8867 Cuyamaca Street in Santee and offer the company's first double drive-thru. Like other locations, the concise menu at Santee's Raising Cane's will be centered around fresh-never-frozen, hand-dipped chicken fingers that are breaded and fried to order and available in combo platters and on sandwiches. If all goes well, other outposts may come to San Diego in the near future. Along with its focus on chicken fingers, Raising Cane’s is renowned for its commitment to active involvement in its local communities, so expect a big grand opening.
