San Diego Chicken Wing Favorite Dirty Birds To Open Ocean Beach Outpost

April 26, 2018

San Diego's king of chicken wings has targeted the beachside neighborhood of Ocean Beach for its fourth location! Dirty Birds will install an outpost within the incoming Ocean Beach Plaza, a new retail complex currently under construction on the corner of Cable Street and Santa Monica Avenue.

Ocean Beach Plaza is an approximately 10,000 square-foot, commercial-only complex being developed at 1929-1947 Cable Street in the heart of San Diego's Ocean Beach neighborhood. The property will have as many as 8-10 units with a parking lot and is owned by John Small, a well-known Newport Avenue business and property owner. OB Plaza is anticipated to be completed by year's end.

Dirty Birds is expected to move into the largest unit within the new plaza - estimated at this point to be approximately 1,200 square feet. In addition to the restaurant's lineup of nearly 40 different wing flavors, as well as sandwiches, salads, burgers, sliders, and appetizers, the bar will also serve an array of craft beers on tap, wine by the glass, and offer a full bar & cocktail list.

Dirty Birds founders Jon Ollis and Adam Jacoby first gained recognition with the opening of the restaurant’s original location in Pacific Beach in 2008, followed by a second outpost in 2015 near the college area at SDSU. The third branch of Dirty Birds debuted within Liberty Station in Point Loma in December 2016.
