A New French Crepe Restaurant Opens In San Diego | Redondo Beach-Based Creme De La Crepe Unveils In Hillcrest

October 30, 2018

Now open in the space that last housed Tortas & Beer in San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood is Creme de la Crepe, a French-inspired cafe with seven Southern California locations.

Founded by French-born Wilfried Lefebvre, Creme de la Crepe is franchise of restaurants with locations in Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Redondo Beach, Long Beach, Culver City and Beverly Hills. The restaurants offer different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with an array of French and Mediterranean inspired salads, sandwiches, gluten-free buckwheat crepes, burgers and entrees. There is also beer and wine.

Creme de la Crepe San Diego is located in the space that most recently housed casual Mexican eatery Tortas & Beer, Italian seafood concept Clandestino, and Mess Royale before that. The Hillcrest location is owned and managed by franchisee Deborah Riedlin. Indoor and outdoor seating is offered, and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a large array of menu choices. The restaurant will have nightly specials throughout the week including 1/2 off bottles of wine on Mondays, all-you-can-eat mussels & fries on Tuesdays, and 3-course prix fixe menu Thursdays.
