San Diego's First 100% Baja-Sourced Beer & Wine Bar Is Coming To South County | El Cruce + 241 Opening In Chula Vista

January 18, 2019

The first area bar wholly devoted to sourcing Baja produced beer and wine is opening in San Diego's South County. El Cruce+241 aims to debut by this summer on Chula Vista's popular Third Avenue Village, taking over the space that long housed Harper's Music Store.

El Cruce+241 is the product of husband and wife partners Robert & Amber Ezparza - who operate KingofHappyHour.com, co-own Sin Fronteras beer bar in Rosarito and host many area craft beer events including Mission Valley Craft Beer & Food Festival and San Diego Bacon Festival - and Collin Corrigan, founder of Cerveceria Transpeninsular, which is one of the most popular craft breweries in Ensenada.

El Cruce+241, which translates to The Crossing at 241, will be the first and only Baja kitchen and tap room this side of the border that exclusively showcases the finest craft breweries and wineries hailing from Baja California, Mexico. Guests will enjoy Baja coastal cuisine, as well as authentic tacos, along with the top craft beer and wine that Baja has to offer. With the upcoming relocation of Harper’s Music Store, which has been a fixture on 3rd Avenue since the 1960s, El Cruce+241 will transform the historical 4,000 square foot, bi-level space into an eatery that will bring Baja north of the border for all to enjoy.

El Cruce+241 hopes to open by this summer at 241 3rd Avenue, #C, in downtown Chula Vista. For more information, visit ElCruce241.com.
