Only a short 2 hour drive from San Diego, Valle de Guadalupe is the hottest new wine-travel destination in the west, and the Valle Food & Wine Fest is one of the most amazing culinary events of our region. The festival is unique in drawing a lineup of top chefs from as far as Mexico City and New York City to promote and celebrate the bounty of the region and the cuisine and wines of Baja California, both now being recognized world-wide.

"I fell in love with the Valle de Guadalupe while cooking a dinner there two summers ago," says Nancy Silverton. "I knew I wanted to come back--and to give back--to this place. By the end of an amazing weekend under the stars in this magical place, Javier Plascencia, Carolynn, and I had decided to start a festival."

At the Valle Food & Wine Festival, guests get the opportunity to sample foods cooked in a beautiful, wide-open field over open fires, barrel smokers and Caja Chinas, exemplifying the rustic-chic style and traditions of the region. In addition to dishes from a star-studded line-up of chefs, the festival showcases over 20 of the best Baja wineries, local craft breweries, and hand-made cocktails. The day-into-evening event includes live music and dancing, artisan vendors, mezcal tastings, inspiring talks, live painting, and a charity spin-the-wheel benefiting Corazón de Vida Foundation, a U.S.-based non-profit organization that provides life-changing support for orphaned and abandoned children in Baja California.

A variety of ticket options are available online, ranging from General Admission for $125, VIP Early Access for $425 and the two day Ultimate VIP Weekend for $1250 (includes Chef Welcome Dinner, VIP Lounge with reserved seating, Talent Lounge Access, Fast Pass to skip lines; Swag Bag, and access to book rooms with the Festival’s luxury partner hotels, including Bruma Casa 8, Villas at Bruma and Hotel Partana located on the festival grounds). Add-ons include the exclusive Chef Welcome Dinner at Deckman’s restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe ($500) and a special $75 children’s rate.
