Frequent cooking show personality Chef Lauren Lawless and HGTV "Flip or Flop" star Steve Cederquist have partnered for the first Flawless Cuisine Food Truck, launching today in San Diego.
As a TV personality, San Diego resident Lauren Lawless has appeared on shows such as MasterChef, Travel Channel's Best in Food and Food Network's Supermarket Stakeout, where she won the grand prize of Supermarket Stakeout champion. Lawless will also be appearing on the next season of Gordon Ramsay's Hell’s Kitchen on FOX, premiering January 2021. She also just recently released her first cookbook called Flawless Cuisine: Inspiring The World One Plate at a Time.
Steve Cederquist first rose to fame on the hit HGTV show Flip or Flop and has established his flourishing Southern California based company Steve Cederquist Designs. He's worked on many celebrities' homes over the years, including such notables as Jerry Bruckheimer and Nicolas Cage, as well as on the set department for Paramount Pictures. In June of 2020, Cederquist launched his new book Get Out Alive: Surviving and Thriving After Drugs, Guns, Gangs, Dysfunction, and Crazy.
Lawless and Cederquist are now collaborating on Flawless Cuisine Food Truck, which the duo hopes will serve as a blueprint for the food truck industry by offering exceptional new cuisine in a unique, beautifully designed space. Chef Lawless's globally-inspired tapas-style menu includes a range of gourmet bites from sizzling Korean chicken wings to gorgonzola fig jam sliders and even shrimp corn dogs with a chipotle aioli. The food truck will travel six days a week throughout the San Diego area, providing food to consumers all over San Diego County, as well as offering catering and private events.
"I am beyond excited to share my food with the world," commented Chef Lawless. "We know San Diego people recognize good food, which is why we chose this city to launch our first Flawless Cuisine Food Truck."
Flawless Cuisine will be hosting a soft opening event on September 26 in North Park at Dia Del Cafe located at 2873 Adams Avenue from 2-6 pm, where a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Freedom Haven non-profit and the I Am Enough Movement.
