Novo Brazil is an award-winning brewery founded by Tiago Carneiro and Joel Tubao in 2015. In 2018, it was named the eighth-fastest growing brewery in the United States by the Breweries Association. Last year, Novo Brazil launched a 12,000 square-foot gastropub in the Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista. Novo Brazil has two locations in San Diego's South County neighborhood of Otay Ranch and is in the process of opening a bar within the incoming Market On 8th food hall coming soon to National City.
Novo Brazil has built a new tasting room within the retail unit that previously housed Culture Brewing Company in Ocean Beach. The company's most northerly branch is primarily focused on building the footprint of hard kombucha sister concept Nova Easy Kombucha, but there will also be beer on tap available for onsite consumption and take-out. The tasting room will also host various food vendors and serve non-alcoholic drinks.
