San Diego's Sycuan Tribe Opens Marina Bar & Grill In National City

May 5, 2021

The Sycuan Tribe has taken over the former Goodie's Bar & Grill space in San Diego's National City for the opening of Marina Bar & Grill, a breakfast and dinner eatery.

The Sycuan Tribal Development Corporation has taken over the 6,000 square-foot building in National City previously occupied for 8 years by Goodie's Bar & Grill. Now open in the space is Marina Bar & Grill, an American comfort food restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner.

The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation is a federally recognized tribe of Mission Indians from San Diego County. In addition to owning and operating the Sycuan Casino Resort in San Diego's East County, the tribe also has owned downtown San Diego's landmark U.S. Grant Hotel since 2003, although it is managed and operated by Marriott Hotels & Resorts.

We reached out to representatives from the Sycuan Tribe to get more information about the inspiration behind the standalone restaurant concept in National City, but no comment was provided at this time. Marina Bar & Grill is open daily for breakfast from 6-10am then reopens for dinner from 5-9pm.

Marina Bar & Grill is located at 740 Bay Marina Drive in National City. For more information, visit sycuan.com/marina-bar-and-grill-breakfast-menu
