Founded by Tiago Carneiro and family, Novo Brazil debuted on Lane Avenue in Chula Vista in 2015 and has been expanding operations ever since, including launching a 12,000 square foot brewpub and restaurant in Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista only a couple miles from its original brewery. The company also has a newly opened brewpub within Bikeway Village in Imperial Beach, a kombucha tasting room in Ocean Beach and a taproom as part of Market on 8th Food Hall in National City although the company will soon be departing the space.
Later this year, Novo Brazil will open its most central San Diego branch in the space that last housed a branch of Tilted Kilt within Westfield Mission Valley shopping center. The new outpost will be a 350-seat restaurant with a full bar menu, onsite brewhouse, and 60 taps of beer, kombucha, seltzers and more, as well as eclectic food offerings like sandwiches, tacos, burgers, empanadas, appetizers and Brazilian-inspired entrees.
