Wicked Main Lobster To Open New Location In San Diego's Barrio Logan

March 11, 2023

Set to open a new multi-concept eatery and entertainment space in Barrio Logan is Wicked Maine Lobster, a San Diego-born seafood purveyor founded by two brothers from Maine.

Maine-natives Eric Howard and his brother Alex first started Wicked Maine Lobster in 2014 as a booth at the Ocean Beach Farmers Market. The concept eventually went on to open stalls at the Liberty Public Market, Little Italy Food Hall, Park 101 Collective in Carlsbad, and at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Honolulu. The eatery also has several other branches in development, but their next project is partnering with Rebru Spirits and taking over the dining room area in Barrio Logan, renaming it Wicked West.

Expected to open later this month, Wicked West will offer a menu of lobster rolls, lobster tacos, and New England-style clam chowder, among other seafood offerings, as well as three other new concepts based around tacos, pizza and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. In addition to the food menus, expect the bar to serve Rebru spirits and cocktails, as well as wine, hard seltzer, cocktails, kombucha, and craft beer from neighboring Thorn Brewing. There will also be frequent live music and entertainment at the onsite cabaret organized by Wicked Maine's offshoot Wicked Warehouse.

Wicked West is anticipated to open in early April at 1735 National Avenue in San Diego's Barrio Logan. For more information, visit wickedmainelobster.com.
