San Diego Restaurants Ordered Closed This Week (June 6-12) By County Health Department

This is the weekly list of San Diego County restaurants and food facilities that have faced temporary closures and downgraded status due to health inspections from June 6 - June 12, 2025.

The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality performs thousands of inspections annually to ensure that food establishments adhere to necessary safety standards. When inspectors identify critical violations, they issue closure notices, mandating that businesses resolve the issues before they can reopen, as well as reduce the health grade of some establishments.

Below, we outline the recent week's closures and downgrades and the specific violation list for each as reported by the health inspectors. 

CLOSURES :

Pure Thai(3704 Voltaire St, San Diego, CA 92106) - Ordered closed on June 6 for Proper Handwashing Facilities - Minor; Holding Temperatures - Minor; Vermin - Major; Food Separated and Protected - Out of Compliance; Nonfood Contact Surfaces Clean - Out of Compliance; Warewashing Facilities Maintained - Out of Compliance; Equipment and Utensil Storage, Use - Out of Compliance; Equipment, Utensils, Linens Storage and Use - Out of Compliance; Premises, Vermin-proofing, Personal/Cleaning Items - Out of Compliance; and Floors, Walls, and Ceilings - Out of Compliance

Treehouse(9925 Pacific Heights Blvd, Unit B, San Diego, CA 92121) - Ordered to remain closed after re-inspections on June 11 (originally closed on June 2) for Vermin - Major.

Ramona Pho and Grill  (1429 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065) - Downgraded to a C with 78 score on June 10 for Handwashing - Major; Proper Handwashing Facilities - Minor; Holding Temperatures - Major; Food Contact Surfaces - Minor; Vermin - Minor; Thawing Methods - Out of Compliance; Storage of Toxic Substances - Out of Compliance; Food Storage - Out of Compliance; Nonfood Contact Surfaces Clean - Out of Compliance; Equipment, Utensils, Linens Storage and Use - Out of Compliance; Thermometers - Out of Compliance; Premises, Vermin-proofing, Personal/Cleaning Items - Out of Compliance; and Floors, Walls, and Ceilings - Out of Compliance.

Mr Shawarma Mediterranean Grill (1050 Garnet Ave, Suite B, San Diego, CA 92109) - Downgraded to a B with 85 score on June 11 for Food Handler Training - Minor; Proper Handwashing Facilities - Minor; Holding Temperatures - Minor; Proper Cooling - Major; Food Contact Surfaces - Minor; Thermometers - Out of Compliance; Premises, Vermin-proofing, Personal/Cleaning Items - Out of Compliance; and Floors, Walls, and Ceilings - Out of Compliance
