American Craft Beer Week in San Diego | Where to Celebrate and Why

May 11, 2012

Next week San Diego celebrates American Craft Beer Week (this is different than Beer Week, which is later in the year). Below is some info on the jubilation and a round-up of several local establishments dedicated to offering the proper way to celebrate the flourishing local craft beer scene.

American Craft Beer Week

The practice of beer making goes back over 10,000 years. Through its fermented history, the recipes have evolved into the vast array of flavors and types we enjoy today. Travel the world and you’ll discover some sort of indigenous brew wherever you find yourself.  America is no different, and the time has come to raise a glass and salute those who craft beer here in the US.  From May 14th through the 20th, American Craft Beer Week taps into San Diego.  Micro- and nano-breweries alike are being celebrated for their accomplishments through various local restaurants and bars.  With San Diego recently pinned by many as the best beer city in the country, local beer lovers can continue to support their favorite craft brewers by enjoying a variety of beers, specialty food dishes containing beer and other limited time specials offered at the following venues.
