Whole Foods Market Hillcrest 7th Ave Pub Launches Urban Baja Menu

Whole Foods Market in Hillcrest will launch its new Urban Baja Menu created by Season Catering & Events Chef Partner Martín San Román at its 7th Ave Pub starting Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013. Internationally recognized local chef Martín San Román, who has received more than 250 awards from various countries, will be paving the way for a new culinary path for Whole Foods Market Hillcrest, embracing the popular Baja Med style and introducing a large line of regional wines to complement the already lengthy craft beer selection.

The Urban Kitchen Menu will serve Baja-inspired flavors including hearty, vegetarian and vegan options to delight any palate. Additionally, Whole Foods Hillcrest will release 10 new wines to now feature the largest selection of Guadalupe Valley and Baja wines outside of Mexico, and complement the new menu.  In addition to the stellar wine list, 7th Avenue Pub also has a fantastic craft beer selection with over 20 local drafts on tap.

“We are thrilled to offer San Diegans a new menu of Baja-inspired cuisine with hearty, vegetarian and vegan varieties to please every palate,” said Season Catering & Events Chef Partner Martín San Román.

The 7th Ave Pub Urban Kitchen Menu will include menu items like a trio of Ceviche ($9), including fresh made portobello, fish and shrimp ceviche, marinated in lime juice, olive oil, onions, cilantro, and tomatoes, atop a fresh made tortilla tostada, served with a side of cilantro ginger dressing. The taquitos de pato ($12) is another new offering, stuffing tender roast duck in a flour tortillas, served with a side of guacamole, onions, cilantro, and chile de arbol salsa.
