Herringbone Celebrates Two Years in La Jolla | Celebration Starts May 29

May 22, 2014

Herringbone is turning 2! Kicking off on Thursday May 29 with a special Distinguished Pours party featuring an art show by Herringbone's own Cory Schnitzer, music by Bobby Calabrese and giveaways all night long, the festivities don't stop there. Herringbone will also be launching a new monthly event where the restaurant will be partnering with a San Diego brewery and local musicians to bring La Jolla some of the best sounds and suds San Diego has to offer.

To celebrate two years in La Jolla, Herringbone will celebrate it’s anniversary weekend with two special events:

Thursday, May 29: 2-Year Anniversary Party
Celebrate Herringbone La Jolla’s 2-tear Anniversary Party by using the #HerringboneTurns2 and enjoying music by Bobby Calabrese and a special art show by Cory Schnitzer.

Saturday, May 31: Local Brews & Grooves
Enjoy live “grooves” by The Yes Team (1pm), Ryan Hiller (3pm) and David Shyde (4pm)
Guests will also enjoy a special menu paired to go well with cold brews and will feature flat breads, salads, two-handed burger, fries, beer battered “fish and chips” and beer brat and pretzel with beer mustard. Partnering with Acoustic Ales for Herringbone La Jolla’s first Brews and Grooves event, enjoy a variety of specialty brews including:

"Witte Snake" Belgian Style Witte Bier w/ Lemongrass, Ginger, Coriander, & Sweet Orange Peels | 4.5% ABV - Aromas of lemongrass shine through on the nose while fresh ginger coats the tongue.  This easy drinking witt bier is lightly hopped and has floral notes on the finish.

"Willow Wolves" Nelson Simcoe IPA | 6% ABV - Aromas of citrus and melon with hints of white pepper tantalize the nose of this delectable IPA. “Willow Wolves” is delicately balanced with hints of caramel and slight bitterness of grapefruit rind and pine on the finish.

"Mosh Pit" Red Ale | 6.66% ABV - This deliciously complex red is layered with floral hop aromas on nose, caramel malt flavors, a touch of rye and light bitterness to finish.

"Mad DUB" Belgian Style Brown Ale | 7% ABV - This complex brown ale has aromas of chocolate covered raisin and fig. Caramelized banana and roasted coco bean notes dillydally on the palate.

“Cali Blonde” American Blonde Ale |  6.75% ABV

Herringbone is part of Brian Malarkey’s Fabric of Social Dining family. Like Searsucker Gaslamp and Del Mar, the interior was created by acclaimed architect Thomas Schoos and is unlike any other. A vintage warehouse was redesigned to create an amazing ambiance that includes six live olive trees, a cozy lounge and an intimate private dining room.
