Wine & Roses Charity Wine Tasting Features Top San Diego Eateries, Award-Winning National and International Wines | Sunday, June 1

The 31st annual Wine & Roses Charity Wine Tasting, San Diego’s longest-running charity wine event, will feature award-winning wines from around the world and small bites from some of San Diego’s most impressive restaurants and chefs.  Sure to be one of the most notable food and wine events of the year, the ticketed event will be held on June 1 at The Grand Del Mar with proceeds benefitting youth summer camp, Camp Oliver, in Descanso, CA!

The Wine & Roses Charity Wine Tasting is the most tenured annual wine competition and tasting event in San Diego County and allows wine lovers, connoisseurs and aficionados to try, taste and bid on some of the most coveted and extraordinary wines in the world. The annual event is presented by the Social Service Auxiliary of San Diego and the San Diego International Wine Competition.

To date, nearly 20 restaurants will be involved in Wine & Roses, including The Patio on Lamont, Searsucker, Venissimo, Tractor Room, Amaya at the Grand Del Mar, Bijou French Bistro, Brooklyn Girl, Oceanaire, Muzita Bistro, Randy Jones, Bread & Cie, JRDN, The Meat Men, Table 926, The Shores, The 3rd Corner, Viva el Café, Temecula Olive Oil Company, Yummy Cupcakes and more.

In addition to the many restaurant partners for the event, the Wine & Roses event also features award-winning wines available for tasting and for purchase at the auction, coming right off of the San Diego International Wine Competition. For wine lovers and wine aficionados, Wine & Roses allows guests to bid and purchase auctioned wines that won Platinum, Gold and Silver medals at the competition. Over 2,000 wines were entered and many of the local, national and international vinos will be available at Wine & Roses.

Platinum medal holders that will be offered at Wine & Roses include Napa Valley’s Andrew Lane Cabernet Sauvignon, Texas High Plains’ Arche Roussane, Santa Barbara’s Biddle Ranch Vineyard Sangiovese, as well as hard-to-find selections from Italy, Germany, Russia, Greece and Australia.
