Wanderlust Brings A Reimagined Triathlon Experience To San Diego On Saturday, May 9 | Enter To Win 2 Passes To Attend

March 25, 2015

Dubbed as the world's first and only 'mindful triathlon,' Wanderlust 108 makes its stop in San Diego on Saturday, May 9, featuring a reimagined triathlon experience that includes a 5k run followed by a 90 minute yoga class and finishing with a guided meditation led by world renowned teachers, starting and fininishing in Embarcadero Marina Park North. Off the mat, triathletes will enjoy live DJs and bands, acroyoga, slacklining, hooping, and other surprises, and throughout the day, the Kula Marketplace will offer the finest from local craft vendors, including unique apparel, jewelry, and handcrafted items. Local food purveyors will also be on site to provide an eclectic mix of healthy organic food options, including vegan and vegetarian fare. SanDiegoVille has 2 tickets to give away to one of our readers so be sure to enter!

Unlike most triathlons, Wanderlust places community above competition, inner peace above power, and self-awareness above strength. At Wanderlust, winning is measured in laughs shared and new friends made. Experience the world’s kindest triathlon on May 9 from 8am to 3pm. Tickets are $55 and include access to the event.

The Wanderlust 108 schedule is as follows:

7am Check in + Gear Check Open

You’re likely wondering why 108? In many Eastern traditions, the number 108 signifies the interconnection between body, mind, and the universe. For Wanderlust, one represents unity, zero represents stillness or calmness, and eight, with its resemblance to the infinity symbol, represents infinite possibility.
